I am a mid-pack mother runner who gets super excited about being on the first page of race results. In January, I will start training for my first half marathon and look forward to Canadian winter running (seriously!). With my very active family, I also cross country ski, snowboard, bike commute and geocache. We love to participate together in local races and fun runs - always cheering each other on. I challenge myself in running and other activities for fun but mostly so I can finish. And in that finishing, I prove to myself and to my kids that the time and effort it takes to be active is so very worth it.
This year's highlights include: A big 5K personal best of 27:49 Besting my 6K trail time by more than 5 minutes over last year at the same event Being the only runner to better my time in a local mile track race where rain created over-our-ankles pooling on the track Consistent personal bests in three 10K races this year (but still frustratingly less than a minute away from getting under an hour) In 2014, I achieved my goal of running 14 races #14in2014
