sport: running

I grew up playing multiple sports, but developed a special passion for running while I was in high school. After having my dream to run in college become a reality, I returned to my hometown to help coach cross country at my former high school, begin my career in the running industry, & continue training/racing at a high level. I focus on longer distances & will make the half/full marathon a focus in the coming years, with the possibility of giving some ultra distances a go. While I love the roads, I recently found a love for trail running & plan to make that my focus over the coming months. I love the running community & want to take advantage of every opportunity to give back to it. Coaching, working at FF, & being actively involved in the local running scene through my training/racing will provide me with the perfect platform to do just that. I am passionate about living an active & healthy lifestyle, & want to share that same passion with everyone that I come in contact with.

accomplishments:

I ran cross country and track for Georgia Regents University (formerly Augusta State University) in Augusta, GA from 2010-2015. During my time competing in college I improved greatly as a runner and became very successful on the cross country course. In 2011 I was a Peach Belt All-Conference runner, and followed that success up in 2012 by being named to the PBC All-Conference Sportsmanship team. I was a member of two Peach Belt Conference Championship cross country teams (2011 and 2013), and served as a team captain for four years. I also saw success in the classroom and earned Peach Belt All-Conference Academic honors, as well as NCAA Academic All-Region honors. I have seen great success in the longer distances, and raced my way to a 7th place finish at the 2014 Rock and Roll Savannah Half Marathon. However, the proudest moment of my career thus far was accomplishing a four-year goal and qualifying for NCAA
