I began training and competing in triathlons after the birth of my first son. At the time I was diagnosed with post partum depression and anxiety and needed to find a way to channel my negative thoughts. I discovered that swimming, biking and running has become therapy for me and makes me feel whole and happy once again. Nothing brings me greater joy than to witness my kids cheering me on at every finish line I cross. I have raced numerous sprint triathlons, an Olympic distance and a handful of 5 and 10ks. This past July I completed my first half Ironman distance.
