hydrate or die
"the fundamental philosophy behind the product is that all it does is to provide you with hydration and electrolytes, there's no carbohydrate in there at all (or at least none that's worth counting). this means that you can convert a bottle of water into a properly balanced electrolyte drink that your system absorbs really quickly without any bloating... we've been using the product for two seasons now and cannot think of a single bad thing to say about it - [nuun] really is worthy of a Tri247 'A list' award." read more ...

SNEWS/ 14 August 2007
electrolyte add-ins
"a tad suspicious at first of fizzy tabs the size and shape of Alka-Seltzer that foamed up in water bottles, cups and reservoirs to make water into a powerful electrolyte drink... we liked the light flavor and in fact enjoyed being able to make a drink out of plain water... they are sugar-free, and therefore don't promote gross fuzzy stuff in reservoirs and bottles... this is a good and transportable option for electrolyte needs"

new this month :: gym gear
"i had the pleasure of testing nuun hydration tablets over the course of quite a few 100+ mile training rides and some long, hard road races... nuun tablets are a smart and tasty way to take in electrolytes... One of my least favorite tasks is cleaning water bottles that have held your typical athletic drink mix. nuun tablets didn't require more than a simple post-ride rinse to be clean and ready to use. i even forgot to rinse a few times and, upon remembering the bottle a day or so later, was happy to find out that nothing nasty was going on inside the bottle (which wouldn't have been the case with my other drink mixes of choice). bottom line: nuun tablets are a smart and tasty way to take in electrolytes. i found their subtle, clean taste particularly welcome when i was really pushing my limits and my stomach was saying, 'no mas.'" read more ...

test centre :: products
"dissolve nuun's electrolyte tablets in water to make a light, low-carb drink that's simple and mess free. [nuun] is a higher sodium content than many fluid replacement drinks, and follows the recent market urge for more effective rehydration. [nuun] tastes lighter than many carb-electrolyte drinks, a real plus when all you want is to hydrate without a carb hit."
*we just want to add our 2 cents (or pence) on one comment in the review: so here?s the thing... citric acid is in nuun at the start, but not at the end once it?s dissolved. in fact, nuun has one of the lowest acidity levels of any sports drink on the market and is up to 50x less acidic than most! so there. and given there are no sugars, we think that?s enough to show how much we love teeth!
we wrote to james at 220, gave him a quick chemistry lesson and we?re looking forward to the update next month. read more ...
