one of the best adventure racers in the world, Travis Macy races with Team Merrell/Akali.
"Originally pulled in by Nuun's unique packaging and handy tabs, I quickly discovered that the Nuun formula is also excellent. Nuun provides a noticable electrolyte boost without the nasty, super-sugar taste found in many energy drinks. At Primal Quest Montana, I was able to use a single flavor of Nuun for the entire week-long race, a testiment to its superb taste and high level of agreement with the stomach. Thanks Nuun!"

at just 11 years of age jordan romero from big bear, california has some pretty awesome goals. he hopes to become the youngest person ever to climb the highest peaks on all the seven continents- "the seven summits". he has already scaled mt. kilimanjaro in africa in july 2006, mt.kosciuszko in australia in april 2007, mt. elbrus in russia in july 2007 and most recently mt. aconcagua at 23,000+ feet, in argentian in december 2007. no prizes for guessing what hydrates Jordan on his monster ascents, so we spoke to him between trips:
"when I'm climbing the big peaks I know it's very important to stay hydrated and and have electrolytes. dad has always told me to take electrolytes for my muscles and it really matters at altitude. in russia, at about 5000meters, i thought my legs were going to explode. it was getting hard. my dad put a lime tablet into my water bottle, and it seemed like in 2 minutes i was strong plus nuun tastes great even when i don't feel like drinking water so i know that as long as i have it with me i will be fine even in the high altitude. nuun is awesome"
we've been lucky enough to know jordan for a couple years and he really is incredible - if you ever get the chance to hear him speak, make the time to go - he's doing amazing things. jordan hopes to finish his seven summits quest by climbing mt. everest before his sixteenth birthday. for more information visit jordan's site and keep supporting him.
"NUUN is my perfect hydration drink. At the top of my packing list for first descent expeditions in every continent is several tubes of NUUN. It gives me that electrolyte boost I need when we are spending several days in the jungle or high alpine Indian environment. Packing everything we need in the back of a white water creek boat tackling class 5 boulder gardens and waterfalls does not leave any extra room. And NUUN is what gets me through the day while we are hiking, pulling, pushing and kayaking our 80 pound boats through the toughest environments in the world. It is impossible to easily stay hydrated on those trips considering all the work we do, and NUUN is that boost I need to keep my electrolytes balanced and push through the challenge. I don't go anywhere without an ample supply of my favorite flavors of the perfect electrolyte energy drink: NUUN."

mitch has a thirst for going long and is the fastest aussie you'll see on the bike (and quite possibly the course). he loves the podium and -- in fact, he won his first ironman australia last year at the tender age of 29. he competes globally all while attending med school full-time. how and why does a med student have time for this? because "racing is an extension of my personality and training - it let's me express myself in ways i can't at medical school!"
mitch has been a nuun user for several years.
"once you've had nuun, water is seriously boring! i drink like a fish with a nuun in my bidon - it tastes great and re-hydrates to boot."
he's got a cheeky smile even living in rainy melbourne [bit like seattle, but with more people that say 'mate']. find out why he's so fast on the bike @ www.mitchanderson.com.au

"staying hydrated can mean the difference between winning a tough race and getting dropped by the pack. nuun makes hydration a breeze we just drop a nuun in our bottle, store the tube in our jerseys and we¹re ready to attack the next big climb."

"we drink nuun not only during our races, but also for our post-race celebration to make sure we're re-hydrated. it's so simple, i just throw the tube in with the rest of my cycling gear and i've got over a gallon of hydration i can rely on to stay cramp-free."
